Helgstrand chooses Patrik Kittel and Isabell Werth as riders for his Grand Prix horses: "Sad to say goodbye to them"

Queenparks Wendy and Jovian are facing an exciting sporting year as both top dressage horses will have a new rider in the saddle. Helgstrand Dressage, in collaboration with Wendy's owner Bolette Wandt from ChΓ’teau de Fontaine, has entered into a partnership with the world-renowned German dressage rider Isabell Werth and Madeleine Winter-Schulze for the talented gold medal mare Queenparks Wendy. Additionally, a partnership has been formed with the Swedish top rider Patrik Kittel for the fantastic breeding stallion and Grand Prix horse Jovian.

Both horses are at the peak of their careers, so it only makes sense that they should have optimal conditions to develop their sporting potential while Andreas Helgstrand is out of competition in 2024.

"Both Wendy and Jovian are two absolutely fantastic horses, and it's, of course, a bit sad to say goodbye to them. However, I am most of all happy and proud that we have made agreements with two of the world's absolute best dressage riders, allowing both horses to showcase their worth and continue on their journey towards the stars," says Andreas Helgstrand.

Queenparks Wendy

Isabell Werth undoubtedly belongs to the world's best dressage riders. Her achievements include twelve medals at the Olympics, making her the record holder for the most Olympic medals won by a rider. Additionally, she has earned nine medals at the World Championships, among other achievements.

"I am very proud and grateful to welcome this outstanding horse as a new addition to my stall. I would like to give special thanks to Madeleine Winter-Schulze, Bolette Wandt, and Andreas Helgstrand for facilitating this partnership,” says Isabell Werth.

Wendy's owner Bolette Wandt is very pleased that Isabell Werth will continue to work with Wendy and realize her great potential.

"Wendy and Isabell are the perfect match. They are both true power girls. Wendy has a real 'here-I-come' charisma, talent, and power – the entire package required to reach the top. Moreover, she is still a young horse, and I have no doubt that there is a lot more to come in the future. Wendy is in very good hands with Isabell," says Bolette Wandt.

Jovian

"I admire Jovian. He is an absolutely fantastic horse, and I am honored to have the opportunity to ride him. I have been a fan of his since Andreas bought him. He has qualities beyond this world – when he trots, it's like he's trotting on clouds. I will do everything I can to do him justice and hope that we develop a good and fruitful partnership together," says Patrik Kittel.

Patrik Kittel is one of the world's most successful dressage riders, having won more than most during his career. He has participated in everything from European Championships and World Championships to the Olympic Games three times.
