Kent Farrington and Toulayna snatch the win in CSI5* 1.60m Trophée de Genève

The CSI5* 1.60m Trophée de Genève was the last class on Thursday at CHI Geneva. In this Table A with Jump-Off, fifteen riders made their way into the final round. In the end, Kent Farrington (USA) set the fastest time aboard Toulayna (Toulon), far in front of the competition.

With Bond Jamesbond de Hay, a stallion bred by Jean-Luch L'Helgouarch out of Diamant de Semilly, Gregory Wathelet delivered faultless performances in both the basic round and the jump-off. Their quick time of 37.10 seconds ultimately secured the bronze medal. Only two hundredths of a second separated them from the silver, claimed by Harry Charles riding Romeo 88 (Contact van de Heffinck). The Zangersheide gelding is bred by Picobello Horses. The dominant force in this event was Kent Farrington, who guided the nine-year-old Toulayna (Toulon) to the finish in 34.77 seconds, emerging as the unbeatable winner with the offspring of Jasper Doucé.

Harrie Smolders, on Uricas vd Kattevennen (Uriko), narrowly missed the podium, finishing in fourth place. Victor Bettendorf, who earlier in the day secured two victories in Geneva, settled for fifth place with the BWP gelding Mr. Tac (Non Stop, breeder: Edmond Meyers).
