Marco Kutscher keeps Christian Kukuk from victory in CSI4* 1.60m Grand Prix von Holstein

The CSI4* Grand Prix of Pinneberg in Germany attracted forty horse and rider combinations to the start. Local combinations had the upper hand in this final competition with a victory for Marco Kutscher on home soil.

Only four combinations managed to leave the 1.60m high obstacles untouched in the first round. Gerben Morsink (NED) was one of them, relying on the jumping ability and carefulness of Navarone Z (by Nabab de Reve). Morsink guided the fourteen-year-old stallion to a time of 41.80 seconds in the jump-off but incurred four penalty points, placing the duo in third position.

Once again, Marco Kutscher (GER) proved to be the best. The German rider piloted Aventador S (by Armitage) to the fastest time of 40.95 seconds in the jump-off, with the ten-year-old stallion leaving all the poles untouched. Christian Kukuk (GER) had to settle for second place once more. His faultless round on Checker 47 (by Comme il Faut) was timed at 42.22 seconds. For Markus Renzel (GER) and Canmore 4 (v. Casall), who were the last we saw in the jump-off, there was fourth place.
