That Abdullah Alsharbatly has an eye for good horses ain't no secret anymore. The Saudi Arabian rider, currently ranked 56th in the Longines Ranking recently added Boeckmanns Lord Pezi Junior to his team of horses.
The fifteen years old stallion by Lord Pezi started his international career under the saddle of Germany's Hartwig Rohde, who passed on the reins to Marco Kutscher at the end of 2018. Kutscher took him up to 4* level until Pedro Veniss took place in the saddle at the beginning of 2020.
The Brazilian rider steered to twelve victories and was placed 25 times within the top three in total. Their biggest win together was during the CSIO5* Nations Cup Final in Barcelona but also five Grand Prix came into their name. The CSI5*-W 1.60m Longines Ranking World Cup in Madrid, Spain was their last show together as Sergio Alvarez Moya took over the stallion at the beginning of 2024.
Now it's Abdullah Alsharbatly who will ride Boeckmanns Lord Pezi Junior. The Saudi Arabian said: "Lord Pezi Jr is a great horse. I expect a bright future for us together with hopefully a lot of (Grand Prix) victories but also great results for my country."
