Pénélope Leprévost's Texas moves to Spain

Pénélope Leprévost's Texas has been sold. The 13-year-old son of Tornesch 1042 is moving to his new stable in Spain, where 24 years-old Sira Martinez Cullell will take over the reins.

On her personal social media account, Leprévost wrote: "Thank you Texas for the wonderful years together, the competitions we've shared, and especially for the French champion title. I wish you all the best for the future of your career."

The French equestrian began riding Texas in late 2020. Together, they climbed from one-star level to the highest echelons of the sport. Leprévost led him to the podium eighteen times, seven of which were victories. Their notable triumphs include winning the CSI5*-W 1.50m in Basel, the CSI4* Grand Prix of Rouen, and the CSI4* 1.55 Grand Prix of the Sunshine Tour.

At Haras de Beaufour, the training facility where Texas was cared for, his departure was announced with a hint of nostalgia. "With some nostalgia, we bid farewell to Texas after a successful period with Pénélope Leprévost. Under her guidance, Texas achieved remarkable performances, including those in Rouen and the Sunshine Tour. These 4* Grand Prix victories are etched in our memories."
