Petronella Andersson rewarded as Best Rider of Jumping Mechelen

This year as well, during Jumping Mechelen, one rider from the CSI5* competition was once again declared the best of the event. The title changed hands several times and ultimately came down to Thibeau Spits, who added the title to his list of achievements last year, and Thibault Philippaerts.

But when two dogs fight over a bone, a third one often ends up running away with it... After the World Cup competition, the cards were shuffled, and in the end, it was Petronella Andersson who had made the most impression. The Swedish rider secured the seventh position in the final World Cup competition after a fast initial round, where a jumping fault kept them out of the thrilling jump-off. Earlier, Andersson had already won the CSI5* Grand Prix riding Cassina Z (Casado v't Gelutt Z). In the World Cup as well, the Swede relied on Belgian jumping prowess, riding the BWP mare Odina van Klapscheut (I Am Moerhoeve's Star).
