Richard Vogel and Cepano Baloubet take the first top spot in the Mexico Fall Tour

The 2023 Mexico Fall Tour at Club Hipico Otomi in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, commenced with a triumphant performance by the German rider Richard Vogel and his horse, Cepano Baloubet, in the CSI5* 1.50m class. 

This competition was a Table A format with one jump-off against the clock. Notably, it was a qualifier for Saturday's Grand Prix and was part of the Longines Ranking Group C. Vogel (GER) and Cepano Baloubet, sired by Chaman and out of Stakkato's Highlight, clinched the top spot with a remarkable time of 37.51 seconds. Italy's Emanuele Camilli and Odense Odeveld, a horse born of Diamant de Semilly and Querlybet Hero, secured the second position with a time of 37.71 seconds. In third place, the host country's Manuel Gonzales Dufrane and Martialis (Nabab de Reve) completed the course in 37.95 seconds.

The fourth position went to Brazil's Santiago Lambre and Chattanooga, whose pedigree includes Cornet's Prinz and Caprilli. Ireland's Shane Sweetnam (IRL), riding RR Combella, finished in fifth place in this exciting competition.
