Trevor Breen tops 'The Christmas Pudding Speed Stakes' in London

Before the dressage riders take the stage again, the ExCel set the jumps a last time (for today) on 1.45m. This five star class challenged the riders and horses to give it all they've got and go full gas in this competition against the clock. It was a very close call deciding the top three but Trevor Breen was the one to cry victory on Jicarla T (v. Caretino Gold).

The eight years old mare left all the poles untouched and raced to the finish line in 52,10 seconds. Within the same second, John Whitaker crossed the endline on Green Grass (v. Luidam) but had 74 hundredths on the clock, leaving them in second place. Less than one third of a second difference sent Conor Swail to three on Vital Chance de La Roque (v. Diamant de Semilly).

The top five was also really close to each other. Julien Epaillard ended fourth on Vitalhorse Ebbadya Hero (v. Erco van t Roosakker) with only the smallest difference which left Jodie Hall McAteer on five with Kimosa van het Kritrahof (v. Chatman).
