Two out of two for Henrik Von Eckermann

Two out of two for Henrik Von Eckermann

In Sweden, the first 4* class of the day did not cause many surprises. Just like yesterday during the opening class, the Swedish hero Henrik Von Eckermann jumped again to unsurpassed gold aboard Hollywood V (Mylord Carthago)!

Ten combinations left the poles untouched over the 1.45m high 4* course, of which the Swede Henrik Von Eckermann was again the fastest. In the saddle of the KWPN chestnut gelding Hollywood V, he stopped the chrono at 63.94 seconds, which resulted in his second win in a row. Marlon Modolo Zanotelli also matched his performance of yesterday with Grand Slam VDL (Cardento 933) by taking silver. The Belgian Olivier Philippaerts, on the other hand, did a lot better than yesterday, and rushed to bronze with Odiena Van Berimar (Kannan) in 66.18 seconds.

The Swedish public was allowed to cheer for a second time when another Swedish combination took the prize in fourth place. Stephanie Holmén piloted the SWB chestnut mare Thelma Hastak (Heartbeat) in 67.48 seconds just off the podium, ahead of Britain's John Whitaker and Toulon's 13-year-old son, Sharid.
