Checkmate for Christian Kukuk and Checker 47 in action-packed LGCT Grand Prix of Riyadh

An archly difficult and challenging LGCT Grand Prix in Riyadh was exciting until the last rider crossed the finish line. Only three riders managed to not draw any wood to the ground in a thrilling jump-off, where Christian Kukuk and Checker 47 (Comme il Faut) pulled the longest straw.

Eight riders made it into the jump-off. At least the first half did not keep it dry in the 1.60m high course.

Simon Delestre provided the first clear round, after four combinations didn't succeed in doing so, with the Zangersheide gelding Dexter Fontenis Z (Diarado, Breeder: S.C.R.I S.Ky Horses)! The time to beat stood at 38.31s which was also already the fastest lap. Sweden's Malin Baryard-Johnsson still passed them, sending the BWP mare H&M Indiana (Kashmir van Schuttershof) from breeders W. Vanderlinden-van Turtelboom-Ruys clear to the finish in 37.72s. Christian Kukuk (GER) proved it could be even faster and almost seemed to float in the saddle of Checker 47 (Comme il Faut). With 37.56s on the clock, the German duo crowned themselves winners!
