Daniel Deusser kicks off CSI5* competition of Leipzig with a win for Gangster v/h Noddevelt

The first CSI5* competition in Leipzig challenged the participating combinations in a 1.45m high course ridden against the clock. The Dutch riders couldn't take center stage, but Dutch-bred horses eagerly made their mark in this class with a victory for Gangster v/h Noddevelt.

Deusser entered the ring in the middle of the class with Gangster v/h Noddevelt. The thirteen-year-old KWPN gelding by Eldorado vd Zeshoek (breeder: A. Van Rooy) neatly left all the rails in the cups, securing the win for his German rider. With a margin of over a second and a half, they held off Mariano Martinez Bastida (ESP), who also relied on Dutch jumping power with the KWPN gelding Jup (Carrera VDL, breeder: G.L. Dirksen). German rider Josch Löhden rounded out the top three with Kandido (Kannan, breeder: Celine Bourgeois).

In fourth place, we saw Msciwoj Kiecon (POL) aboard Cicero (Cordess, breeder: Steffen Beier), followed by another home combination, Sven Gero Hünicke, and Mastermind RL (Mylord Carthago, breeder: Rasmus Lüneburg).
