Martin Fuchs secures Nations Cup home victory for team Switzerland in jump-off with Brazil

Two teams went head to head in the jump-off of the Nations Cup of St Gallen, Switzerland. In the end, it was Switzerland who kept the victory on home grounds after a magnificent round of former World Nr. 1, Martin Fuchs!

With a total of only four penalty points each, it was Brazil and Switzerland who faced off in the jump-off. For Brazil, Rodrigo Pessoa had a clean record of penalties in both rounds on Major Tom (by Vagabond de La Pomme). For the Swiss team, it was both Bryan Balsiger who left all the wood in the spoons with Dubai du Bois Pinchet (by Kashmir van Schuttershof) and Steve Guerdat on the back of Venard de Cerisy (by Open Up Semilly).

Switzerland delegated former world number one Martin Fuchs and was allowed to take the lead. On Leone Jei (by Baltic VDL), Fuchs repeated his performance from the second round and again stayed clear of all the wood. Brazil in turn bet on Yuri Mansur. Riding Miss Blue-Saint Blue Farm QH (by Chacco Blue), he stayed clear in the first round and tapped a bar in the second. They were also charged with a jumping fault in the jump-off, so it was Switzerland who won.
