The Dutch rider Maikel van der Vleuten and Beauville Z, a real match made in heaven, just won the challenging CSI5* Longines GCT Grand Prix 1,60m of Monaco.
Van der Vleuten sent his nine-year-old son of Bustique in a fast 33,06 seconds to the top place. They shouldn't have been a lot slower, since Bassem Mohammed and Gunder (Thunder vd Zuuthoeve) quickly followed in the second place in 33,12 seconds for Qatar. Julien Epaillard and his trustworthy Usual Suspect d'Auge (Jarnac) seized the bronze for France in 33,52 seconds.
Outside of the top three, no combination in the jump-off finished faster than 34 seconds. Swedens Henrik von Eckermann and Toveks Mary Lou (Montendro) finished fourth in 34,14 seconds, almost three seconds faster than Christian Kukuk and Limonchello NT (Lord Caletto) for Germany.
