At the Morocco Royal Tour, French rider Simon Delestre secured his second victory in a row in the saddle of Olga van de Kruishoeve. The pair left the competition behind in the CSI4*-W 1.50m Longines Ranking Prix de Dakhla.
The 1.50-meter high course caused 19 out of the 29 combinations to incur faults, either due to time or knocking down a rail in the sand. The remaining ten returned to the ring for the jump-off of this main event, where time also proved to be a determining factor.
The victory was claimed by the lightning-fast Simon Delestre (FRA) in the saddle of Olga van de Kruishoeve, a nine-year-old daughter of El Torreo de Muze. They secured the win with a one-second lead over the local rider El Ghali Boukaa (MAR) on Ugolino du Clos (L'Arc de Triomphe). The bronze medal went to Eden van Pottelberg, a daughter of Ugano Sitte, ridden by Mehdi Roessli-Dobjanschi (SUI).
The Belgian rider Marine Scauflaire (BEL) was last to go on Hortus d'Hoogpoort. The ten years old stallion and offspring of Diamant de Semilly didn't knock any wood down but a timefault kept them on four. Emeric George (FRA) concluded the top five with Dune du RU (Vagabond de La Pomme).
