Jens Fredricson takes head start at European Championship in Milan, Sweden in pole position

The Swede team takes the lead in the European Championship after a Table C competition. Individual there is also a Swede on top, with the best round coming from Jens Fredricson and Markan Cosmopolit.

The lead was taken by the Swedish rider Jens Fredricson and Markan Cosmopolit (by Cohiba). Martin Fuchs (SUI) followed in second place, just half a second behind, with the KWPN gelding Leone Jei (by Baltic VDL). Philipp Weishaupt (GER) had only seven hundredths of a second more and secured the third position riding Zineday (by Zinedine).

For Steve Guerdat (SUI) and Dynamix de Belheme (v. Snaike de Blondel) there was fourth place. Frenchman Julien Epaillard set an incredible fast round but Dubai du Cedre (v. Baloubet du Rouet) knocked a rail down. Their fast time made up for it, leaving them in fifth position.

Sweden is also leading in the Nations Cup after strong performances by Wilma Hellström and Cicci BJN (by Ci ci Senjor ASK), Rolf-Göran Bengtsson and Zuccero (by Zirocco Blue), Henrik von Eckermann and Iliana (by Cardento) and, of course, Fredricson and the 12-year-old gelding. Two is provisionally occupied by favorite and defending champion Switzerland. Three is followed by the German team.
