Irish dominance at Lanaken as Harry Allen and Kumina Della Caccia win the World Championship 7YO

The final of the World Championship for seven year old horses concluded with a jump-off with eleven combinations. The victory was once again Irish with Harry Allen and Kumina Della Caccia (Kannan) on top.

Jérôme Guery (BEL) and Diamond Touch, a son of Diamant de Semilly and also the full brother of Don't Touch Tiji Hero Z, kicked off the 1.45m high course. Unfortunately, a rail fell for the duo, and they recorded a time of 38.52 seconds. Virginie Thonon (BEL) entered the arena with Scala du Piedroux Z (Silver 2 de Virton) as the second pair and managed to complete a faultless round. The mare bred by Claudy Noirot finished in 38.93 seconds.

Representing the Netherlands, we saw Renee de Weert (NED) in action with Labantrix. The KWPN daughter of Eldorado van de Zeshoek hails from the stables of the Van den Broek family. They also maintained a clean score and were faster with a time of 38.55 seconds. Apparently, there was room for even faster rounds because Philip Rüping (GER) and Casanina PS (Casallco) delivered a faultless ride in a time of 35.90 seconds.

The Irish dominance continued into this final, as Harry Allen (IRL) did even better. Riding Kumina Della Caccia (Kannan), the Irish rider stopped the clock at a swift 35.30 seconds.
