Luxury and top sport go hand in hand at Equestrian Cup in St Tropez!

The Equestrian Cup is clearly determined to put itself on the map as a new 4* Grand Prix series. The organization is committed to equestrian sports of the highest level framed by a glamorous lifestyle atmosphere and is going for a smashing first edition in 2023! In addition to the first event in Belgium, the organization now proudly adds Saint Tropez as a destination for their Equestrian Cup.

"The organization is looking forward to this special event," Nicolas Deridder recently told our editors. Back then, it was still about the Equestrian Summer Cup, which will take place in Moerzeke, Belgium from July 20 to 23, on the grounds of Gudrun Patteet's Sea Coast Stables. "But now an exciting venue is added!", Deridder enthuses.

No less than two weekends, France's Saint Tropez will be taken up by top riders from all over the world, who will compete for the coveted Equestrian Cup Grand Prix title. From Oct. 5 to 8 and from Oct. 12 to 15, the Equestrian Cup resides on French soil. "We are delighted to announce Grimaud as the second venue," said a proud organizer. "The French town, located on the Saint Tropez peninsula, has profiled itself over the years as one of the hotspots in international show jumping. We are therefore enormously looking forward as a young organization to welcoming the riders and the public here on the French Riviera."

Top sport combined with luxury

Saint Tropez will offer classes for young horses but the 1* and 4* competition will also find its place in the program. "We want to be an all-inclusive event that breathes top sport. We strongly believe that both young horses and 1* riders are the future of our beautiful sport. That hand in hand with the experience and excitement of the 4* competition is the ideal mix for a successful weekend of sport, at least in our opinion," Deridder continued. "The 4* competition will have a luxury edge and will be cast in a Grand Prix Premium format where we are aiming for the atmosphere as a 5* competition. We want to create an unforgettable experience for both rider, horse and supporter! With over 20 nationalities already entered in the over 42 classes and a prize pool of €650,000, we strongly believe in our concept."
