Farewell to Old Chap Tame (22)

Farewell to Old Chap Tame (22)

Aged 22-years-old, the successful stallion,  Old Chap Tame (Carthago) has passed away. The stallion jumped up to the highest level with different riders, and retired from the sport in 2019.

The son of Carthago was bred by the Brohier family in France. After a successful training with Eugénie Angot, the chestnut came into the hands of Jan Tops in 2013.

Edwina Tops-Alexander then took over the reins. The duo thus won the World Cup Grand Prix of Doha in 2015 and placed on the Grand Prix podium in Shanghai.

In breeding as well, the stallion left his mark with, among others, the 1.60m jumping Calgary Tame as offspring.
