Some Lies every Rider has told themselves

Some Lies every Rider has told themselves
It is a fact, we are delusional. Equestrians put their horse on the first place and often forget what lies they tell themselves to feel better. But hey 'it isn't lying if you believe it, right?'

1. We all look forward to visit the tack shop. Our heaven on earth. First thing we believe is - This time, I’m only going to pick up what I need. Yeah Right ;) a regular trip to the tack shop most of the time ends up with a huge credit card bill and an overload of equestrian gear.

2. Work hard, play hard that's the spirit. But some equestrians (we don't like to categorize them as Irish or European ?) take it well literally. Ever heard a rider say: I hardly ever drink? Well bummer... but they deserve it after riding 7 horses in the rain!

3. If you look at it, showing your horses are expensive. Lucky we don't want to be confronted with the bill. Horse shows aren’t that expensive, and anyway I'll probably will win it back! Good luck with it, but stop lying! :)

4. Maybe one of our favorit's is when people say: "I could totally do that.... If I had the right horse" - we love the optimism, the enthusiasm. But reality is a b****.

5. Horses come first, other bills come later. "The car brakes can probably wait another month." yeah sure, it's aaaaaalllll fine :)
