The yearly and well known Nations Cup competition in Lummen will no longer be on the agenda in 2018. Organiser, Peter Postelmans has pulled the plug after concluding the competition is no longer possible because of financial reasons. Years ago Peter Postelmans set up a unique concept: a well organised jumping tour as preparation for his own Nations Cup beginning of may. It was a huge succes. However now other organisations are following the concept and have developed a similar jumped tour around that same time. As the Nations Cup organisation takes a cost of over 2 million Euro Peter Postelmans has decided it is no longer possible to organise the event. "It's no secret the Jumping tour was financing the Nations Cup event," states Postelmans. "Because of the many other organisations it is no longer possible. This we resulted in a debt of about 20 percent."
