Jérôme Guéry's Garrfield de Tiji des Templiers retires from the sport

Garfield de Tiji (Quasimodo Z), one of Jérôme Guèry's top horses, is retiring. The owner, the Benali family, has informed our editors. At the beginning of last month, Guery jumped in the saddle with the gray in St Tropez.

The 15-year-old BWP stallion jumped to five international victories with Guery. The duo took the overall victory in Olliva earlier this year. Most memorable is the GCL Play-Off win in Prague as well as the 1.55m CSI5* victory at the LGCT in Cannes.

Guery said in an earlier interview. "He is not much of a winner, but he is a prize collector." Garfield de Tiji des Templiers (Quasimodo Z x Goldspring de Lauzelle) will be continued in breeding. He is already available at Septon Breeding at Christian Liegeois.
