New rider of David Will's former C Vier known

New rider of David Will's former C Vier known

It was already known that C Vier (by Cardento), the former top horse of David Will, was for sale. But his new destination was not yet known, until now. Irish rider Cian O'Connor will take over the reins of the successful Holsteiner gelding.

David Will and C Vier had become a very successful combination in a short time. They finished second in the team competition at the European Championships in Riesenbeck. They also won the last class at the World Cup finals in Leipzig. On top of that, a year ago they also triumphed at the Rolex Grand Prix in Rome. These are just a few examples of the many successes the duo has achieved together.

David Will had taken over the reins of C Four himself in July 2020. The gelding, however, remained in the possession of the Rijkens family. When the sale of the fourteen-year-old Holsteiner became known, there was a lot of interest. It remained silent for a long time about who the new rider would be, but Spring-Reiter.de has now found out that the Irish Nations Cup rider Cian O'Connor will take over the reins. O'Connor is currently number 241 on the world ranking list. C Vier is certainly a great addition to his stable and now we have to wait and see if the combination will be as successful as the previous team that David Will and C Vier formed together.
