Record amount of €185,000 for daughter of GP horse Katchina Mail

Last weekend Haras de Brullemail auction took place via the online auction platform Equinia. It turned out to be a hugely successful edition, with buyers from fifteen different countries all determined to buy themselves a "made in Brullemail" breeding product. A record amount of €185,000 (excl. VAT) was paid for the beautiful sport foal Masha Mail (Cornet Obolensky), the last daughter of vice world champion Katchina Mail.

After an exciting battle between Switzerland, Belgium and France, the Piedrahita family, of Haras San Isidro in Colombia, finally became the new owners of this exceptional foal.

Of the 28 horses on offer, 20 have been sold to buyers from 15 different countries. Aside from the record amount for Masha Mail, most of the horses went for affordable prices, which were within the reach of many investors.

Masha Mail's breeder, Bernard Le Courois, said that Masha Mail will remain at the Haras de Brullemail stud for years to come. In addition, he thanks the Equinia agency and the entire Haras de Brullemail team for the successful auction. He also especially wants to express his gratitude to his "darling Katchina".
