Scuderia 1918 added a new talent to their string of horses with the arrival of Highlight W (Berlin x Clearway). The Italian rider Lorenzo De Luca will take over the reigns of this 10-year-old gelding, from his compatriot Marco Porro.
In 2021, De Luca left Stephan Conter's Stephex Stables to start his own adventure in the sport. The Italian rider is currently training Great-Britain's Emily Moffit as well as riding horses for Poden Farms. With adding the new addition Highlight W to the squad, Lorenzo has a new talent joining his team of horses.
The partnership between Scuderia 1918 and De Luca began in December 2018. At that time, Lorenzo was still riding for Stephex Stables in Belgium. Ultimately it was the stallion Scuderia 1918 Halifax van het Kluizenbos who kicked off the very successful co-operation.
The pair will be seen on American soil, in Wellington to start their new partnership together.
