Updated WBFSH Rankings puts BWP and Olga vd Kruishoeve on top

At the end of the WBFSH rankings cycle, the WBFSH's breeder and studbook rankings start again from zero. Heading into the second half of our cycle, the rankings are published on a monthly basis. In the latest WBFSH Rankings, the Belgians shine brightly with the BWP leading the way among the studbooks and the top two breeders also hailing from the same soil. The Netherlands takes the lead in both the studbooks and breeders' rankings in dressage.

JUMPING

Among the JUMPING BREEDERS, Eric Polfliet (BEL)  finds himself in first place, with a huge jump up from rank 3939 at the end of last cycle. He is the breeder of Olga van de Kruishoeve, BWP mare by El Torro de Muze x Nabab de Reve.

Rank 2 is taken by Wim Impens (BEL), previous Longines WBFSH Jumping Breeder of the Year in 2022, for breeding BWP gelding King Edward (Edward 28 x Feo). The pair won the FEI World Cup Final in Riyadh KSA last month.In third position is Solmat  Agropecuaria S.A. (ARG), for breeding the Selle Argentina mare RR Combella (Cornet du Lys x Indoctro). With Shane Sweetnam (IRL) they have been successful on the North American circuit this year, with outings in Lexington, Miami Beach, the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, and in Ocala.

DRESSAGE

Up from 20th position in the 2023 Final Dressage Breeder Rankings, P. Kluytmans (Tilburg NED) comes in at number one with 2469 points, for breeding the KWPN stallion EVERDALE (Lord Leatherdale x Negro). Everdale and his rider Charlotte Fry (GBR) most recently won the CDI5* GP Freestyle in Fontainebleau with 82.34%.

With 2312 points, Verbena Dressage (SWE) takes the second position, for breeding the SWB gelding TOUCHDOWN (Quaterback x Sack). With his rider Patrick Kittle (SWE), the pair won the FEI World Cup Final in Riyadh KSA last month. J. Lamers (NED), the breeder of KWPN stallion BLUE HORS DON OLYMBRIO (Jazz x Olympic Ferro), lies in third place with 2220 points. Don Olymbrio and Nanna Skodborg Merrald were second in the FEI World Cup Final in Riyadh KSA. 

The dressage studbook rankings start out with the KWPN remaining in first place, with 12810 points, from the performances of:

- Blue Horse Don Olymbrio (by Jazz)

- Indian Rock (by Apache)

- Great Escape Camelot (by Johnson TN)

- Flambeau (by Ampere)

- Habana Libre A (by Zizi Top)
