The Collection made a name for itself worldwide in 2020 by being the first major online auction to be held in the midst of a global pandemic.
While things have moved in the right direction in terms of Covid, the desire to remain an exceptional auction has only become stronger.
The Collection team is a combination of Milestone Farm (Carlos Pinto and his wife Willemijn Poels) with ST Stables (Steve Tinti). Together they have over 35 years of expertise in the horse trade. It is an understatement to say that they have a great deal of skill in putting together a catalogue that meets the demands of an ever more demanding market. And even though the bar was set high with the quality of the first three editions, the team has managed to push the boundaries once again and put together a new, first-class catalogue.
"It's clear that finding horses of this quality is a challenge every time. But it's our job and we do everything we can to reach our goal and if possible exceed it. This is, I think, what we have managed to do, once again, for this 4th edition of The Collection Auction," reveals Carlos Pinto.
Amongst the horses selected, to name a few, are products such as Messtender (Messenger x Nintender), a 7-year-old gelding, who presents himself with an already impressive series of clear rounds to his credit. Also in the catalogue is the 6-year-old mare Quila Blue (Qualdandro x Chacco Blue x Sandro Boy) who is already winning international podiums or Marchella TW (Hickstead White x Zirocco Blue VDL x Quidam de Revel) who has been shining in all the competitions for young horses in which she has taken part. Horses that are sure to be a success at in the future. And the same could be said of the 13 other horses in this auction.
A complete and high-level catalogue of 16 horses, many of which have already shown their qualities on the international circuit or on the young horse circuit. "For me, many of the horses in this auction are destined to jump at Grand Prixlevel one day. They have all already been showing great athletic skills as well as great mentality for the sport," adds Steve Tinti. "It's all about the details, the results and the talent. With an impressive catalogue of 16 young Grand Prix prospects, internationally renowned show jumpers and hunters, we have again exceeded the high standards we set in the first editions of The Collection!" The team behind The Collection are confident.
Since the first edition of The Collection Auction, the hunters have made their presence known. Willemijn Poels always wants to present The Collection audience with the most talented hunter prospects, and this year is no exception. For the first time, The Collection will be presenting a pony in its catalogue. “Coco Chanel is more than just a pony. She is an eye catcher in every aspect from her color, movement, and technique,” says Willemijn. A real gem that is destined to shine.
The Collection Auction is not just an online auction. "The idea is to offer a unique service in addition to the horses in the catalogue, for example by organising the transport of the purchased horses to their new stables on request," adds Carlos Pinto. "We want buyers to be able to make their choice in complete confidence and to do this we offer them the best guarantees on the horses presented with, for example, X-rays and veterinary reports that can be consulted in complete transparency."
