Maartje Verberckmoes crushes competition in Gold Final main class Oliva

What. A. Win. We felt the excitement right through our screens. With only ten combinations in the jump-off, they went on to battle for victory in this Gold Final. Each of them kept it real exciting, but Maartje Verberckmoes stayed calm. The Belgian rider was the ONLY ONE to deliver a clear round making her the more than deserved winner of this Longines Ranking Gold class.

Verberckmoes entered as one of the last in the jump-off. None of her predecessors had yet managed to go clear, so she knew what she had to do - stay clear. Guidam's Willow the Second (v. Willow) had along understood the assignment and jumped flawlessly through the course. The duo watched the very last combinations for a moment but saw no one imitate their stunt and took the gold.

Fellow patriot Rik Hemeryck was fast with Caristello Jpz (v. Clintissimo Z) but also knocked one pole out of the scoop. Sienna Charles also had the proverb "haste is seldom good" thrown against her. With the fastest round but also four penalties behind their names, the rider finished second on Valkiry de Zance (v. Diamant de Semilly).

The top five consisted out of Derin Demirsoy on Jackpot R (v. Eldorado van de Zeshoek) and Alexander Müller on Ohlala 13 (v. Cracker Jack D 2).
