Great-Britain on top in Sharjah Equestrian Nations Cup

On Sunday the CSIO4* Nations Cup at Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club in the United Arab Emirates was conquered by the team of Great-Britain. 

A total of seven teams participated in the Nations Cup. The British riders were in a league of their own. With a total of six penalties over two round, the Brits left Ireland with the silver medal after collecting 14 faults. Host nation, United Arab Emirates finished third with 26 points in total.

The British team existed out of William Funnell and his Billy Picador (Billy Mexico) and Donald Whitaker on Millfield Colette (Cornet Obolensky) who both produced a double clear. Tim Grefley and Imperial HBF (Glasgow vh Merelsnest) had the drop-score in round one, but restored in round two with only two time penalties. Joe Whitaker and Hulahupe JR (VDL Bubalu) finished with four faults in round one and didn't even have to start in round two.
