Ben Maher on point in 1.50m Hermes at WEF

A total of eleven combinations did start in the Jump-Off in the 1.50m Hermes main class in Wellington. The full stage finished with less than one second difference. Eventually the fastest clear time was set by Olympic Champion, Ben Maher and his Point Break (breeder: Nya Appelvikens Ridskola).

Maher and the 10-year-old son of Action-Breaker narrowly stayed ahead of Shane Sweetnam with Pascale Haep's former Irandole du Flot (Vivaldi du Seigneur, breeder: Pascale van Averlaet). Belgium's Nicola Philippaerts completed the top three.

Philippaerts missed the podium with his Pandora van de Kruishoeve (Cidane). Alongside the nine-year-old BWP mare, the Belgian, Charlotte Jacobs, with Rincoola Milsean (Aldatus Z), secured the fourth position. In front of the home crowd, Jimmy Torano rounded out the top five with Kochio Z (Kannan GFE).
