Darragh Kenny leads Irish stage in 1.60m CSI5* Grand Prix Wellington!

A total of six combinations qualified for the Jump-Off in the 1.60m CSI5* Grand Prix in Wellington. Only the top three managed to produce a double clear. In the end it was Ireland's Darragh Kenny who jumped to victory with Amsterdam 27 (breeder: Soenke Petersen), leaving two compatriots behind.

Kenny and the 14-year-old daughter of Catoki just missed staying ahead of their compatriot, Cian O'Connor, with the Belgian-bred Maurice (Thunder vd Zuuthoeve, breeder: Johan Juwet) by less than a second. The entire top three finished within about one second of each other. Jordan Coyle secured the third position with For Gold.

Alongside Hessel Hoekstra and Sjaak Sleiderink's former For Fashion son, Coyle surpassed Kent Farrington to take third place.

Farrington recorded the fastest time with Greya (Colestus) but knocked down one rail. Belgium's Nicola Philippaerts completed the top five riding Katanga v/h Dingeshof (Cardento).
