Ten combinations produced a clear round in the 1.50m Longines ranking class in Lyon. It was Italy's Emanuele Gaudiano who speeded to victory. Aboard Kingston van het Eikenhof, Gaudiano was the only to keep the timer in under 57 seconds.

The Italian show jumping speeded to victory with over one second difference. Gaudiano jumped to victory with the 9-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding, Kingston van het Eikenhof (Epleaser van t Heike). Together with the gelding Gaudiano stayed ahead on Yuri Mansur and the 10-year-old KWPN-gelding, Everglade (Clinton).
French show jumping rider, Jean Luc Mourier completed the stage with the 15-year-old Windows Costersveld-son, Captain Keen.
