Epaillard conquers the main class in Doha

If this  week's CSI5* competition in Doha will be an indication of the next LGCT season, we can't wait for it to start. Tention was high today  in the 1.55m main class. It seemed to turn out into an ex aequo victory, however as a twist Great-Britain's Scott Brash bested the time of Eduardo Alvarez Aznar and Henrik von Eckermann. As the cards seemed to be shuffled second but last rider, Julien Epaillard went under Brash' time, conquering the main class.

Julien Epaillard was the second  but last rider at the start in Doha, setting the eventual record time of 33.41 seconds aboard  Virtuose Champeix (Rubins des Bruyeres). Last rider at the start, Max Kühner did a great effort beating Epaillard's time, but had  to settle as runner up with Elektric Blue P (Eldorado vd Zeshoek).

Great Britain's Scott Brash  eventually completed the stage with his  11-year-old Stolzenberg-son, Hello Shelby.

The  pair was followed by  Eduardo Alvarez Aznar and Henrik von Eckermann, sharing the fourth place aboard Seringat (Chef Rouge) and Best Boy Z (Contagio).
