In Oliva, the highlight of the day was just jumped: the LR section of the Gold competition. There was direct jumping against the clock and 39 participants ventured into the 1m45 high course. The victory went to the fast Frenchman Julien Epaillard. He rode Kosmo van Hof ter Boone (by Arko) clear around in 58.99 seconds.
This put him just under a second faster than Dayro Arroyave who finished in second place. The Colombian was able to jump a clear round with Baccarat Fontaine (by Mylord Carthago) stopping the chrono after 59.51 seconds. Andres Vereecke completed the podium. He rode Diadarco van Evendael Z (by Diamant de Semilly) to the finish in 59.68 seconds, leaving all the rails in place.
Koen Vereecke (Donna vd Windeweg Z) and Sienna Charles (Chinta van Geluut Z) completed the top five in fourth and fifth places.
7-yr-olds
The 7-year-olds jumped over a height of 1m35. The win in this two-phase class was for Jenny Krogstaeter. She rode Gjamaika Song (by Cristallo II) clear to the finish in 33.00 seconds. Thibault Philippaerts in turn was good for second place. He was able to jump a clear round in the saddle of the BWP stallion Orleans van de Kruishoeve (by Fantomas de Muze) and finished in 34.41 seconds. Sophie Hinners completed the top three after a clear round in 34.53 seconds. For this she took Jolly Swagman (by VDL Zirocco Blue) from the stable.
Sophie Hinners (Obert vd Heffinck) and Laurenz Buhl (Palina Keeps ZL) were good for fourth and fifth place.
