Approved sire, Glenfiddich passed away

On its social media, Dutch VDL Stud has announced the passing away of the approved sire, Glenfiddich. The 12-year-old son of Bacardi VDL was euthanized after a colic attack.

Glenfiddich was a well-developed stallion with amazing scope, great technique and a lot of jumping intelligence. He canters with a great deal of power and performed a good KWPN Stallion Test. In total he scored 79 points, to include an 8.5 for his scope. For canter, rideability and attitude, and talent as a jumper he scored 8’s.


Glenfiddich his offspring are attractive and well-developed horses with a strong top line. They stand out with their canter and they jump with a lot of power and technique. His son Kordon VDL was approved by the KWPN and Great Latin Lover was approved by NRPS. Glenfiddich is a jumper producer.
