Concept for New Nations Cup format returns to two rounds!

Earlier we announced the IJRC and jumping riders were not in favour of the proposed rules for the new FEI League of Nations. Now the FEI has scheduled in its meeting of the Jumping Committée a discussion and revision of the proposal and concluded to return to a format with two rounds.

At this meeting the new rules and format proposition for the Longines League of Nations was discussed. The comittee has changed its initial format and returns to two rounds. The main  change is that not one round, but two rounds will count.

In the first round all four riders of the ten teams (and possible the organizing country) will compete. Only the best 3 results will count. Next in the second round the top 8 riders will start in reversed order with only three riders at the start, eliminating the drop out score in this round.

Also in the Nations Cup finals the same system will be applied, but only the top eight countries will compete. This means the main pressure will be put on the riders in the second round.

At the FEI General meeting on June 5 and 6 the new proposition will be submitted for approval.
