Daniel Deusser speeds to major win in Amsterdam

A total of twelve combinations managed to qualify for the Jump-Off in the 1.50m main class of Amsterdam. It was an exciting class until the end. As second but last at the start, Germany's Daniel Deusser eventually claimed the win aboard his 12-year-old Bingo Ste Hermelle.

Deusser and the 12-year-old son of Number One d'Iso where the second but last combination at the start. In the end they managed to go over two seconds under the time of compatriot, Hans-Dieter Dreher and his 11-year-old  Elysium (VDL Zirocco Blue). The stage was completed by Eduardo Alvarez Aznar and his 12-year-old Bentley de Sury (Sunday de Riverland).

In front of the home crowd, Dutch jumper, Eric van der Vleuten placed fourth. Van der Vleuten guided the 12-year-old Dreamland (Sunday de Riverland) faultless to the fourth place while Marcus Ehning (GER) completed the top five with Priam du Roset (Plot Blue).

"Bingo really is a fast horse, maybe not with the biggest scope, but his intelligence and natural speed make up for it in the arena," says Deusser. About Jumping Amsterdam the German showjumper is only positive. "This is one of those shows where you just feel the people come to watch for the sport. I really enjoy it. The crowd is here to support all the riders!"
