De Luca closes in on Staut in the world cup ranking

After the 9th leg of the FEI World Cup season in Mechelen it is Stephex-rider, Lorenzo de Luca who closes in on the current number one, Kevin Staut. Only one point makes the difference as Staut is in the lead with 61 points.

Ireland's Denis Lynch hadn't his Jumping Mechelen completely as planned. Nevertheless the Irish show jumping rider is in the third place with a total of 45 points. Lynch is ahead of the former Olympic Champion and world cup finals winner, Steve Guerdat.

Switzerland's Romain Duguet completed the current top five of the Western European League.
