France and Ireland take the spoils in Youth Nations Cups for Young Riders and Juniors!

Gorla Minore was set as stage for the CSIO Youth Nations cup competition. On Friday both the Junior riders and Young riders competed their Nations cup. In the end the French jumping squad conquered the Young Riders title! The Irish Juniors claimed the title in their category.

At the end of the second round, Italy and France were equal in penalties (8). A barrage was therefore needed to determine the podium of this exciting Nations Cup. Both teams ended the play-off with a mistake, so it was the sum of the times that was decisive.

France won with a total of 8 penalties in a time of 106.49. The young riders from across the Alps who well represented their nation in the second stage of the youth Nations Cup circuit were: William Ligier De La Prade / Galilee, Ilona Mezzadri / Diamond's Dream, Alice Laine / Emerald Sitte, Jules Orsolini / Charlotte 198.

With 8 penalties in 112".61, Team Italy climbed to the second step of the podium thanks to the performances: by Giacomo Casadei and Tamis/ Giulia Mattioli riding Daiquiri de Nyze Z / Elisa Chimirri chose to ride Calandro Z and Lorenzo Correddu with Ultos.

Poland finished in third place. The team led by Thomes Wtodarski as follows: Mikolaj Baranski / Qatar Donaldson Z, Juliana Suska / Cascadeuce, Lena Maruszak / Jetoulon van de Rietvenne, Aleksandra Kierznowska / Badorette; finished Gorla CSIO with a total of 12 penalties in 212”.33.

Nations Cup Juniores: Ireland wins, followed by Belgium and Spain.

The second day of the Gorla Minore CSIO came alive with the Nations Cup dedicated to Junior riders. 60 fierce horse and rider combinations, representing 15 nations battled on the course designed by the Italian Chef de Piste Andrea Colombo.

It was Ireland represented by Eoin Brennan / Eskola M, James Brennan / MHS Im The One, Timmy Brennan / Diadema della Caccia, Coen Williams / Conthanja; to get on the first step of the podium of the first Nations Cup of this CSIO. Team Ireland finished with a total of 4 penalties in the best time of 217.96.

Marthe - Louise Dieu / Jazz van't Kamerveld, Kasper De Boeck / Nepal S, Louis Lambrecht / Liana D and Sarah Ver Linde / Caleya are the 4 junior riders who brought Belgium to the Place of Honor, there were 5 penalties total over time of 222.30.


Germany climbed to the third step of the podium, with 8 penalties in 219.04, thanks to the performances of: Romy Rosalie Tietje / Cascadino , Julius Bleser / Arramis FAP , Fabio Tilchen /Stakaya, Naomi Himmelreich / Cordetto 3.
