In Memoriam: Max Hauri
Aged 73 years old, former show jumper and eventer, Max Hauri has passed away. Hauri became the 1960 Swiss Champion and represented Switzerland at two Olympic Games. In both Games he finished in the top ten ranking.

In 1972 Max Hauri jumped towards an Olympic Degree with Haïti in show jumping and Red Baron in Eventing. A couple of years before (1964), Hauri finished tenth aboard Milvio at the Tokio Olympic Games.

Hauri was recently known as the owner of most of Pius Schwizer's top horses. Verdi III, Powerplay, Sixtine des Vains, Picsou du Chêne and LB Callas Sitte were all in ownership of this great Swiss legend. On his Facebook page Pius Schwizer states; "The Swiss equestrian scene has lost a great man today. A fighter and trusted friend, who was there to support me in every situation."

Max Hauri's sons, Markus and Thomas, continue the sport and trading stable of their father.
