Kevin Staut's Grand Prix-mare, Cheppetta retires from topsport

The 15-year-old mare,  Cheppetta (Chepetto x Cash) retired from the top level sport, announces Kevin Staut. The mare - who was before competed by Céline Schoonbroodt- de Azevedo and Martin Fuchs will in the future focus on her breeding career.

In March 2020, France's Staut took over the reins of Belgium's Céline Schoonbroodt -de Azevedo. Together with the French jumper the mare competed at some CSI4* events with a ranking in St Tropez. However eye-problems forced the mare to take a step back.

It was until October 2021 the mare was back in action, eventually winning the CSI3* Grand Prix in Vilamoura and later the CSI5* Grand Prix in Paris.

Kevin Staut now confirms the mare will in the future focus on her breeding career. "In my last competitions with her, I felt she is tired." Staut states. The mare will focus on breeding and will still compete at a lower level with  Laura Rayjasse.
