Norway takes over reins of Zanotelli's VDL Edgar M and Like A diamond van het Schaeck

In St Tropez, Zanotelli's two former championship horses,  VDL Edgar M and Like A Diamond van het Schaeck have made their appearance with a new rider in the saddle. Norway's youth rider, Ingrid Gjelsten (NOR) has taken over the reins.

Together with the Norwegian youth rider, the new combinations made their debute at a 1.35m level. In 2021 the daughter of Diamant de Semilly, Like A Diamond van het Schaeck, joined the stables of Zanotelli. The pair jumped up to the highest level. The pair managed to place second in the CSI5* Grand Prix in Samorin and last year won the Tour Eiffel, CSI5* Grand Prix in Paris.

Most astonishing result is however the participation at the 2022, FEI World Championships in Herning, resulting in a 27th individual place.

Aboard the 14-year-old VDL Edgar M  Zanotelli competed since 2018. In 2021 the son of Arezzo VDL delivered Zanotelli his first Olympic participation in Tokyo. Edgar M also gave the Brazilian showjumping rider his first CSI5* Grand Prix victory in St Tropez. The combination shined in  Madrid, Valkenswaard, Genève, as well as in the Bordeaux World Cup.

The Gjelsten family owns both horses since 2021.
