Sophie Dubourg replaced Philippe Guerdat as French teamchef

Sophie Dubourg replaced Philippe Guerdat as French teamchef
After it was announced the French federation and teamchef, Philippe Guerdat part ways, the new French Showjumping coach is revealed. It is France's Sophie Dubourg who will replace Guerdat.

Guerdat started his duty as French teamchef in 2013. Although there was a contract until 2020, the French federation and Philippe Guerdat parted ways. In the past two weeks the French equestrian world cried for support for Guerdat. Many show jumping riders support the Swiss chef, to stay until the Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Not unreasonable, as the French team flourished with Guerdat as national teamchef, claiming silver in the Olympic Games of Rio de Janeiro as well taking home some Nations Cup victories. As the Olympic selection for Tokyo was not reached in Tryon the federation has appointed a new teamchef, Guerdat's right hand person, Sophie Dubourg.
