Two horses killed and four people injured in road crash
In Surry, Great-Britain, two horses have been killed and four people seriously injured in a road accident. The A3 southbound at Esher was closed after the collision at around 3.40am yesterday morning.

“Four vehicles, a grey BMW, a red Vauxhall Zafira, Citroen van and a BMW motorcycle transporting blood, collided with two horses,” read a statement from Surrey Police released this morning.

“Four people were taken to St Georges Hospital in Tooting for treatment to serious injuries. The two horses died at the location. “Officers carried out enquiries to identify the recipient of the blood being carried by the motorcyclist and were able to deliver it successfully to Frimley Park Hospital.”

 

According to local press reports one woman involved in the accident suffered “life threatening injuries” in the crash. Another man, reportedly in his 30s suffered head injuries, as did the driver of the motorbike — a man in his 50s.
