Hans-Dieter Dreher and Berlin Eagles on top in Hamburg GCL

This week Hamburg is the hotspot for the Longines Global Champions Tour. Today the first round of the Global Champions League delivered an all German victory with Hans-Dieter Dreher on top of the individual ranking and the Berlin Eagles on their best in the GCL.

In this 1.55m class, Dreher jumped to victory aboard the 12-year-old Vestmalle Des Cotis (Baloubet du Rouet), in front of compatriot Philipp Weishaupt with his Contagio-son, Coby

France's, Roger-Yves Bost completed the stage. Aboard the 10-year-old Bluemuch Des Baleines (Chacco-Blue) Bost referred compatriot, Olivier Robert with Vangog du Mas Garnier to the fourth place.

Brazil's Marlon Modolo Zanotelli ended in fifth with Cindy Van der Straten's 13-year-old Urban de Rohan.

Berlin Eagles on top

In the GCL ranking the Berlin Eagles are now on top for this leg of the league. The team is represented by European Championships-host, Ludger Beerbaum with his 9-year-old Mila and Philipp Weishaupt with the 11-year-old Coby. Belgium's Gilles Thomas follows with Feromas van Beek Z  for Valkenswaard United. Thomas is teamed up with Marcus Ehning aboard the 18-year-old Misanto Pret a Tout.
