Henrik von Eckermann and King Edward conquer Worldcup of Verona

It was a hard battle in the Verona World Cup competition. In the end only two combinations managed to produce a double clear in the 1.60m class. In the end it was World number one, Henrik von Eckermann claiming victory aboard his Belgian bred, King Edward.

Seven combinations qualified for the Jump-Off. Eventually World Champions Henrik von Eckermann and King Edward (Edward) jumped to victory, leaving Austria's Gerfried Puck with his Belgian Warmblood Elite sire, Naxcel V ( Balou du Rouet) in the runner-up position. 

With the fastest Jump-Off round on their name, but also one jumping fault, Great-Britain's youth-rider, Harry Charles completed the stage aboard Darragh Kenny's former, Romeo 88 (Contact vd Heffinck). 

Belgium's Nicola Philippaerts followed in a fourth place with his 12-year-old mare, Katanga vh Dingeshof (Cardento). The top five was completed by Mexico'sFernando Martinez Sommer and his 10-year-old KWPN-horse, High Five (Glasgow vh Merelsnest).
