Houtzagers GP horse Sterrehof's Edinus sold to America

Marc Houtzager sees his international Grand Prix horse Sterrehof's Edinus (Padinus x Columbus) leaving for America. An American amateur rider will take over the reins of the thirteen-year-old KWPN gelding.

Edinus already competed at the international level as a seven-year-old. He developed into a valuable force at a 1.50m level, which resulted in an enormous number of clear rounds and several high placings in many classes. For example, he was third in the Grand Prix of Dortmund, fifth in the Grand Prix of Amsterdam (picture), won the Championat of the CSI5* Treffen, and last year he clinched third place in the CSI2* GP of Valkenswaard.

"In recent years, Sterrehof’s Edinus has been one of Marc’s international top horses. More recently serious interest followed from the US for the fantastic son of Padinus, and we decided to sell him. Next to the departure of Edinus we can announce the arrival of a new talent. The now seven-year-old Klasse EB (Regino x Chellano Z) was secured for Marc. This striking mare was bred by Gerrit and Leontine ter Harmsel-Zanderink and will compete at the Mediterranean Equestrian Tour in Oliva, Spain the coming weeks", says Sterrehof.
