Jennifer Gates is spending most of her time in the Evergate stables at the moment and besides that, she's still studying at home. She recently took over the reigns of top stallion Darry Lou and explains why she lost her heart to horses.
"The most beautiful thing about these animals is they only live in the present; They don't think about the past and the future and that makes working with these animals so special. They force me to focus only on them, making my stress fade away. I really like building a connection with my horses. I'm convinced you can only be a good combination when your connection is there. I think you should work hard for the goals you want to achieve. I also think having a good connection with your horse is the start of everything. This situation has shown once more that you can't predict the future and that you have to try to get the best out of everything".
