Martin Fuchs and Connor Jei win the Longines Grand Prix in Sankt Gallen

It was an exciting Longines 1.60m Grand Prix in Sankt Gallen. With twelve starts in the second round it was eventually Martin Fuchs who secured a home-win aboard his Conner Jei.

For a long time, Belgium's Gregory Wathelet was in the lead with his 14-year-old Belgian Warmblood Iron Man van de Padenborre (Darco). The pair set the record to beat with four points in 44.72 seconds. Eventually Martin Fuchs impressed with a clear round in 44.72 seconds.

On stage Belgium's Wilm Vermeir followed with his trusted  IQ Van het Steentje (Toulon). Bryan Balsiger topped the Swiss cherry, completing the stage with his 13-year-old Dubai du Bois Pinchet (Kashmir van Schuttershof).

Balsiger was followed by Edouard Schmitz and Quno (Quo Vados I) while Dutch female showjumper, Sanne Thijssen, completed the top five aboard Hi There (Nabab de Reve).
