Michael Pender and HHS Calais score in Worldcup Grand Prix Sharjah!

The 1.55m WorldCup Grand Prix in Sharjah (UAE) was ridden over two rounds. In the end Belgium's  Celine Schoonbroodt-De Azevedo had to settle for the runner-up position as Michael Pender jumped to victory with his 13-year-old HHS Calais (breeder: Ita Brennan).

Pender and the 13-year-old son of Cavalier Royale narrowly stayed ahead of Celine Schoonbroodt - De Azevedo with the 11-year-old SF mare, Deesse des Embruns (Mylord Carthago*HN). In the saddle of Aurelien Leroy's former mare, the Belgian rider Shane Bren with Scarteen (Cardento) followed closely.

Just outside the podium, Khaled Almobty with the 12-year-old Spacecake (Stakkatol) came next. The top five was completed by Ramzy Al Duhami and the 11-year-old mare, Untouchable 32 (Van Helsing).

Last month, the sale of Foncetti vd Heffinck was announced. Meanwhile, the Belgian stallion (by For Pleasure) jumps faultlessly with Slim Ahmed Al Suwaidi to the sixth place in this 1.55m competition.
