Sun, a light breeze and a heavy course were the ingredients of the 1.60m Rolex Grand Prix in Knokke. After an exciting Jump-Off it was Peder Fredricson winning a new AUDI etron and an extra 65.000 euro. Brazil's Bernardo Alves followed with Mosito van het Hellehof while Dutch rider, Maikel van der Vleuten completed the stage aboard Beauville Z.
A total of seven combinations qualified for the Jump-Off in this 1.60m Grand Prix. While the first round was interrupted for a while after USA's Laura Kraut fell off in the warm-up. At this moment it is still waiting for an update on her status.
First at the start in this Jump-Off was Brazil's Bernardo Alves and the 10-year-old Mosito van het Hellehof (Elvis ter Putte). The pair set pressure on the other combinations after a clear round in 44.23 seconds. Henrik von Eckermann followed at the start with his trusted King Edward (Edward). Sweden's von Eckermann eventually crossed the finish with one jumping fault.
Also Christian Ahlmann and his Belgian Warmblood gelding, Mandato van de Neerheide (Emerald) finished with four faults. First to come in close to Alves' performance was Dutch rider, Maikel van der Vleuten and Beauville Z. They were a bit slower in the final line making a finish in 44.70 seconds.
Sweden's Peder Fredricson took all the risks from the start with the sBs-gelding, H&M All In (Kashmir van Schuttershof). In the first turn they took the inside, and as such crossed the finish in 44.09 seconds. Enough to set the final best performance.
At the start Kendra Claricia Brinkop with Do It Easy (Vigo Cece) and Belgium's own, Jérome Guery with Quel Homme de Hus (Quidam de Revel) followed. Both with one jumping fault they settled for a fourth and fifth place.
